How to Prepare for CCIE Certification
CCIE or Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) is an advanced level certification offered by Cisco Systems. This is one of the most sought-after certification in the field of information technology. IT professionals from any portion of the industry wish to acquire this certification because they know that this is very useful and effective way to reach at the top of their game. As a higher level certification, it only means that CCIE is intended for professionals who already achieved the right experience and knowledge.
As it is one of the toughest IT certification in the industry, keep in mind that only few IT professionals can able to get this, which may indicate that you need to be well-prepared before you apply for the certification. On the other hand, applying for certain certification requires one to have enough training, skills and knowledge. When you want to acquire this certification, it is very imperative if you can prepare for 2 types of examination, a written exam as well as exhausting practical hands-on or laboratory exam. CCIE exam will require you to spend a lot of money because CCIE written exam only cost $350 and the laboratory exam only cost $1,500. The expenses are examination fees, transportation fee, board and lodging if you are from another location.
In case you failed to pass the certification exam for CCIE, you just have to wait for 5 days before you can retake the exam. If you pass the CCIE certification written exam but failed to pass the laboratory exam, you need to re-take the exam in a period of 12 months. If you will not retake the laboratory exam in the specified span of time, then the written exam result will be forfeited or not valid anymore.
